STEPS is volunteer-based — the work we do wouldn’t happen without people who show up. Whether you’re looking to mentor a young person, support a family, or help behind the scenes, we aim to find a role that fits, because we don’t like turning people away.

    Depending on where you’d like to serve, we may need a background check or a certain level of experience or education — this is especially true when working directly with children, adults in vulnerable situations, or individuals with mental illness.

    We match you to a role.

    We’ll match you to a role where you can genuinely help.

We try not to turn anyone away who wants to serve. If a specific role isn’t the right fit, we’ll work to find one that is.
